Where is Val d’Isere in France?
Located in the stunning Tarentaise Valley in the Rhone-Alps region in France, it sits at the end of the valley which is cut off during winter due to the abundant snow. When the snow melts, you can cross over to the Maurienne valley on to Bonneval via le col de l’Iseran.
It is also pretty close to the Italian border, however, it’s tricky to pass over to Italy ski resorts unless you take a helicopter. Alternatively, you could stay in La Rosiere, which is linked to La Thuile in Italy.
