California T in a few words

Much-improved and very fast, the T version of California deserves the badge on its nose. The handling and ride are easy and the 560bhp engine power easily accessible. The engine suits the car’s easy-driving character, as well as letting you go longer before refueling.  The hard-top grand tourer feels now really like a product of Maranello should. It rides particularly well, regardless of in which position, comfort or sport, you place the manettino, which brings stiffer damping.

Merits

The California T is Ferrari’s softest car, but the gentle roadster has been given a highly significant kick up the chuff courtesy on an all-new twin turbocharged V8 that delivers 560bhp. Response, at higher revs, is genuinely impressive whatever the aspiration. The drop-top hits  to 0 to 100 /km/h in 3.6 seconds. There is no turbo lag in lower gears and while there’s more lag in higher gears, you’re rewarded with more urge without having to shift down or work the engine hard, so it makes for a fine grand tourer.
